vas'Deletham-class cruiser
The vas'Deletham-class cruiser is a small starship designed for quick strikes against enemy targets, as well as reconnaissance missions behind enemy lines. Its small size makes it easy to slip in behind enemy lines and its capability to land on planetary surfaces makes it ideal as an escape vehicle should expeditions turn perilous. There are currently 10,000 of these ships in service.
Vessel Type: Cruiser Length: 187 meters Width: 293 meters Height: 94 meters Armaments: 2 ship-mounted disruptor cannons 1 plasma torpedo launcher 2 forward missile launchers Crew Complement: 350 Warp Speed (Max.): 9 V-8 Bird of Prey
The V-8 'Bird-of-Prey' is the primary defense starship of the Romulan Navy. Equipped with a cloaking device, the Bird-of-Prey received only one major upgrade since the Romulan Unification with then-Treksylvania. This ship is more than a match for anything arrayed against it. There are currently 5,000 ships in service in the Imperial Starfleet as part of the Romulan contingent.
Vessel Type: Cruiser Length: 180 meters Width: 220 meters Height: 50 meters Armaments: Plasma torpedoes Nuclear warheads (in the process of denuclearization) Disruptors Crew Complement: 150 Warp Speed (Max.): 4 V-10 Goshawk
The V-10 Goshawk is unique for having an almost-identical resemblance to the Klingon K'Vort-class Bird-of-Prey except in the addition of two warp nacelles on the bottom. This differentiation matters little in combat situations, when an opponent believes he is facing Klingons. With cloaking ability, this ship can stalk its target for several parsecs, until the opportunity to strike presents itself. There are currently 2,000 ships of this class in service.
Vessel Type: Cruiser Length: 678.36 meters Width: 780.62 meters Height: 423.72 meters Armaments: 2 wing-mounted disruptor cannons photon torpedo launchers 2 ship-mounted disruptor banks Crew Complement: 1,500 Warp Speed (Max.): 9.6 P'vael Warbird
The evolution of ship design now began to make possible the starship hull design which not only maintained the avian markings, but also created the avian shape culminated in the first of the avian design ships, the P'vael-class Warbird. Designed as a patrol ship, the P'vael-class evokes the shape of the legendary p'vael bird of Romulan mythology. The ship's grace and sleek design belie its lethal power. There are 4,500 ships in service currently.
Vessel Type: Destroyer Length: 185 meters Width: 172 meters Height: 74 meters Armaments: 2 ship-mounted disruptors 1 forward disruptor array 1 forward torpedo tube Crew Complement: 185 Warp Speed (Max.): 9 T-10 Reemea
The T-10 Reemea, meaning 'bright one' is a destroyer type warbird primarily used for patrol, though they are also used for stellar exploration and in Imperial defense. The avian form is retained, and enhanced with an assortment of weapons as well as the cloaking device. The Reemea-class is atmosphere capable and able to land on planetary surfaces to deploy troops. There are currently 4,000 ships in service in the Romulan Navy contingent of the Imperial Starfleet.
Vessel Type: Destroyer Length: 140 meters Width: 180 meters Height: 52 meters Armaments: Plasma torpedoes 2 wing-mounted disruptor cannons 2 forward disruptors Crew Complement: 122 Warp Speed (Max.): 7 'Raven'
This is one of a number of ships whose development has been kept a secret. The Imperial High Command knows this ship by the codename 'Raven'. This ship, primarily a patrol and defense vessel, is also a testbed for new propulsion, new cloaking systems, and new tactical systems. The crew complement ranges from 180 to 220 people and 500 troops. The exact shape of the hull is unknown, but the image at left is the presumed shape as recorded by Imperial High Command.
'Firehawk'
Another of the unknown designs is codenamed 'Firehawk'. Primarily designed to be a patrol and gunship, this warbird utilizes some Imperial Starfleet and Klingon technology while remaining true to its Romulan design heritage. Tactical systems, propulsion, and crew complement are all unknown as no information has yet been provided to Imperial High Command. Current number of ships in service are also unknown, though it is estimated at between 900 and 1,200 total.
