General Orders of the Imperial Starfleet
In addition to the laws as listed in the Imperial Constitution and the ITC Charter, the Imperial Starfleet is bound by a series of General Orders regulating interactions both with foreign nations' governments, and native world governments. These General Orders have been signed with the Imperial Seal legalizing their importance to the regulation of the Imperial Starfleet.
General Order 1
No officer of the Imperial Starfleet shall interfere in the natural evolution of a sentient species, nor shall an officer permit an Imperial citizen to interfere in the natural course of development of a sentient species.
This is the Imperial Prime Directive. This General Order cannot be broken in any way and any attempt to willfully break this Directive can see an Imperial officer or an Imperial citizen court-martialed or imprisoned. This General Order makes it clear that if rescuing crew members or Imperial citizens endangers or would endanger the natural evolution of an inhabited world, then Imperial officers and Imperial citizens are expendable in those situations.

General Order 2
Imperial officers and agents shall at all times protect the life and liberty of the citizens of the Galactic Empire of Trekylon.
Imperial officers swear an oath to protect the lives and liberties of Trekylon and its citizens. Basically put, when Imperial lives or colonists are at risk, an Imperial officer is expected to do their duty and proceed to protect them to the best of their abilities. SIDE NOTE: Imperial officers would not be classed as citizens while executing their duty as these duties may place them in harm's way.

General Order 3
In the event of catastrophe, the commanding officer is authorized to order the destruction of the ship.
This General Order allows the current commanding officer to destroy their ship in the event of a hostile-takeover to preserve the secrets of the empire.

General Order 4
The Imperial Starfleet authorizes any and all commanding officers to countermand Imperial regulations in the event of an extreme threat to the empire.
This General Order authorizes commanding officers to countermand any order given if such situation could endanger Imperial security or endanger thousands of lives.

General Order 5
Commanding officers shall safeguard the safety and liberty of crew members and civilians under their command.
This General Order basically states that commanding officers should not take any unnecessary risks with the lives of civilians and crew under their command. It does not mean to avoid danger.

General Order 6
Imperial Starfleet personnel must aid and assist any space-faring vessel signaling a distress call.
This General Order authorizes any Imperial Starfleet ship to go to the aid of another ship signaling distress. This applies to even enemy ships and often confuses foreign space powers.

General Order 7
No Imperial officer shall visit Laptev, nor shall he allow any Imperial citizen to visit Laptev except by prearranged diplomatic consent of a Laptev nation.
After the interstellar incident in which an Imperial diplomat seeking to negotiate with the Laptev nation of Horizon was seized, detained illegally, and put on trial on false charges of espionage, this law is as unbreakable as the Prime Directive. Only after establishing dialogue with a Laptev nation will an ambassador be allowed access to Laptev.

General Order 8
Imperial Starfleet personnel are required to investigate any and all instances of espionage on Imperial Starfleet facilities and within the Intergalactic Empire of Trekylon.
This General Order gives commanding officers the ability to cancel a current mission if proof of espionage is present.

General Order 10

General Order 11
Imperial Starfleet personnel shall not enter a neutral zone, or permit Imperial citizens to enter a neutral zone without a direct order from the emperor.
Imperial officers are not allowed to enter or cross any neutral zones unless given express permission from the Foreign Ministry or the emperor. Of course, this General Order can be countermanded in the event of a situation involving another General Order.

General Order 12
Imperial Starfleet personnel are required to take adequate defensive precautions when approached by a spacecraft with which prior contact has not been established.
If a vessel approaches your ship but does not answer hails or give hailing calls, commanders are to go to Yellow Alert, raise shields, and power up the phasers to partial stand-by. This includes allied and Imperial ships that remain in radio silence.

General Order 13
In the event that a situation has left no other alternative, the commanding officer may give the order to abandon ship to safeguard the lives of the crew and civlians on board.
This General Order allows the immediate commanding officer to order all hands to abandon ship. Most officers tend to look at this as a last resort, but situations can end up demanding it, such as core breaches, deadly outbreaks and other such phenomenon. Commanding officer can, in some cases, enact General Order 3 after issuing this order if the situation is dire enough.

General Order 14
To the extent that it does not interfere with their other duties, Imperial Starfleet personnel are obligated to investigate any unusual phenomenon.
When strange phenomenon shows up near a Imperial Starfleet vessel, a commander is authorized to change their mission parameters and examine the phenomenon, whether astronomic or planetary.

General Order 15
No flag officer shall beam into a hazardous area without armed escort.
For the purpose of beaming into an unknown situation even after a battle, flag officers are expected to have an armed escort at all times to protect them as they are generally of strategic value for situations of battle and military nature.

Temporal Prime Directive
No interference in the proper or natural development of time and history is allowed.
This General Order was hotly debated for a long time, and debated even more if it should of been included on the official books as the evidence that time travel was possible could of been damaging to Trekylon. Needless to say the idea of "proper or natural" development is relative, as this order can be interpreted for a currently altered timeline as well. Most Imperial Starfleet officers typically look at this General Order as an extension of the Prime Directive.

Omega Directive
Upon the discovery of an Omega molecule, the captain of any Starfleet vessel must immediately report the discovery to Imperial Command directly through secure channels. Any and all means are at the captain of the starship's disposal to secure complete and total destruction of the molecule, up to and including violation of the Prime Directive in order to ensure its complete destruction and any information on it removed.
This is a highly classified directive. Only starship captains and higher ranking individuals actually know of this General Orders existence. Pretty much the commanding officer is required to report the existence of the molecule immediately to Imperial Command upon confirmation scan of its existence, and do everything they can to destroy the molecule and remove all information of it from existence, which can include violating the Prime Directive to do so.
